Attached jegs show the lube and preload adjust access plug for the lower
bearings on the quill of a Burke Millrite milling machine.   I'm trying to
determine what the arrangement occupying the 5/16" hex key socket in the
access plug is about.  All indications are it's not supposed to be there
(it's preventing me from inserting a 5/16" hex key into the access plug in
order to remove it).   It appears to be a modified oil port of some sort
that someone decided to install into the hex key socket.
