This is a grinding spindle which I have recently designed to replace
the original unit on my Union tool and cutter grinder.

It also doubles up as a toolpost grinder for the Myford lathe,
 and has the same type taper fitting as the Myford topslide.

It uses a small three phase moter with an inverter speed controller, 
and a poly vee belt drive to the spindle, which runs on angular contact bearings.

The spindle nose is a male 2 morse taper and takes grinding wheels on suitable adapters.
