Arbor_press_plate_00.txt Here is an arbor press plate system I devised as a gift for my Dad on Father’s Day. I wanted him to have something else nobody else had, plus useful as well. The baseplate is 6” diameter, 1” thick, with a machined recess in it. The recess is designed to accept pieces of 2.5” cold rolled stock, with a shoulder/undercut machined. Each hole is 1/64” oversize of nominal, for pressing OUT pins, shafts, etc.. I plan a system of these to include bores up to 1”, this should be sufficient for his purposes, although one could go right up to 2” nominal, that would be a plate without a shoulder. Oh yes, the scraping marks. For looks only. Nothing to do with accuracy. Remember, it’s an arbor press 8-) Matt Isserstedt 12 June 2005 mattofvinings at aol dot com
