Images of a quick & dirty chuck stop I put together for use with a Chinese 6230 series lathe.
I needed to machine a batch of 25mm long x 20mm OD PVC pieces. Based loosely on a bunch of ideas provided by to me RCM regulars.

Threaded section screws into the rear of the spindle. The nylon section sits just behind the (3 jaw) chuck jaws and centres the stop rod. The brass end stop with its counter bore stops the work pieces at a repeatable position and still allows the work pieces to be through bored. Not quite precision but sufficient for the job requirements.
