This is a depth limiting device with a finger follower/fence for a Gorton P1-3 pantograph.
It is loosely based on the Gorton accessory, unibal or single foot depth regulator.
However, i needed a unit that would be a little heavier duty that also combined a depth
follower and contour fence to profile contours on the edge of 3d work.  The fence is 
successful for the intended application, but it is by no means as "universal" as I had 
hoped.  It is limited to moderate contours in all dimensions, and the fence for the finger
itself should have been located farther out.  The support intrudes on sharp curves.  Also,
Ideally, the entire unit should be capable of swiveling around the quill during use to make
it most adaptable to all situations.  Nevertheless, it is a handy accessory.  The main body
clamp was made to anticipate that other styles of shoes and followers, including simple 
ones styled more like the Gorton originals will likely be made for other special tasks in
