Hardinge made a lantern style toolpost without a rocker.  
Instead, the 3/8" sq. bit is placed directly in the lantern
on top of an adjustable height bolster.  This allows for short tool
overhang and increases rigidity, compared to using an armstrong
style holder, where the work permits.
