These are some pictures of retrieving and moving home a 1943 Monarch CK lathe, 12 x 30. It is a little crusty, but the previous owner did me a great service by carefully oiling the bed and the leadscrew/feed rods, so most everything is pristine under the grunge. The lathe was tested before purchase… simple test of indicating the tailstock flat way from the carriage and this test shows approx .001” deflection over the entire length of the bed! (excellent shape as I’ve seen similar Monarchs with .010 and .015 on same measurements).
