This Billstrom is an automatoc feeder for "facing" rough wood on a jointer to make one side flat. (Before feeding it into a planer to make both sides parallel). One of the wide links in the "chain" that carries the feed pawls was broken completely across. The adjacent link was cracked nearly through. These pictures show the bar & wedges used to align the parts, and the brazing. The crack was silver soldered, the broken piece was "tinned" with silver solder, then bronze welded.
