Hardinge calls this a stud.  It is the compound thread bolt to pinch
the clamps to lock the spindle in the dividing head.  Hardened steel,
but still often "wallered out" hex socket.  I made the replacement
out of S7 steel, increased the dia of the neck and made the new hex
socket one size larger.
