These are some pictures of my “wood” workbench (also used for 
metalworking projects 
8-).

Basic construction is a solid wooden door (surplus from c. 1970) 
which was faced with hard maple tongue & groove wooden flooring.  
The vise is a Record quick-release design, and welded legs, 3” box 
tube.

Built around 1997.
