BIOGRAPHY OR OTHER INFORMATION

I took college level machine shop, welding, and foundry classes 
while in the academic program in high school (Because I could)!

I have been a manager in the hospitality industry, a watchmaker, 
peace officer, motorcycle mechanic and more! Forced to retire at 
the age of 44 due to cancer, I spent 15 years as an unpaid 
(volunteer) guest worker under contract to a professional 
astronomical observatory. My duties there did not involve 
metalworking either!

Currently, some spare time is spent as a mentor at a public 
computer lab, where I will soon be teaching a course. This is 
another volunteer thing, but very rewarding, as we give people 
skills needed for employment.
